The Bungalow house style was first noticed in Bengal, which is located in the Eastern parts of South Asia, in the beginning of the 18th Century. The style was quickly appropriated by the British who on the other hand built similar houses in British India. Meanwhile, in Britain the first bungalow was built in 1869. On the other hand, in America the Indian bungalow architecture was mainly focused in the field of holidays, used by people to rest in them.
The style can be easily recognized, since it is a single-story house and there are no staircases between the living and bedroom areas. The houses are often preferred by people who have disabilities, since the rooms are easily accessed. Also another feature of the house can be considered the verandas that can surround the front part of the house, allowing people to stay, rest, and enjoy the fresh air.
